29. Hunger

What is your relationship with hunger?

Literal hunger.
Stomach, gut, food hunger.
Having a hunger for life is great too.
But there’s a time and place for metaphorical hunger, and this isn’t it.

When was the last time you were hungry?

Was it a fierce growl or a dull ache?
Was it a thought or a physical sensation?

How did you respond to your hunger?

Did you honor and satiate it?
Did you ignore, suppress, and set it aside?

How does hunger motivate you?

Do you ever eat to preemptively avoid the discomfort of hunger?
Do you ever satisfy your hunger as a treat or reward?

Where does your hunger take you?

Into gratitude for what’s on your plate?
Into deeper alignment with your body’s rhythms?
