11. Little Leaps

I was scrambling in Joshua Tree last week.

Literally…not figuratively. In rock climbing terms, scrambling is “a walk up steep terrain involving the use of one's hands”.

Meanwhile, my brother was bouldering.

Can’t quite classify this as a “walk”.

We both had to take some leaps along the way. His just looked cooler.

Life is full of invitations to take little leaps of courage, of connection, of vulnerability. But fear and doubt can creep in.

Whether you accept these invitations now, or ever, you can always reach out for a helping hand.

As Dumbledore says, “Help will always be given at Hogwarts…to those who ask for it.” (I’m rereading Harry Potter right now.)

And you may find yourself in the midst of something truly remarkable.
