16. Spring Equinox

Astrologically, this moment marks a birth—a new beginning.

I mentioned a few posts back that I got my birth chart read by an incredible Vedic astrologer. Over the weekend, this astrologer shared a video message calling for all people to say a prayer at the moment of Spring Equinox.

Specifically, he asked for people to ask for blessings from Divine Feminine aka Mother Earth at that time.

From pollution and climate change, to industrialized animal agriculture, to the depletion of non-renewable resources, humanity has been wreaking havoc on this planet for too long. Not to mention the collective suffering of womankind at the hands of a patriarchal system…speaking of Divine Feminine.

The response to COVID-19 has been the closest thing to global unity on an issue that I’ve ever witnessed. And with self-quarantine, social distancing, and fewer commutes, perhaps the environment will have a little restorative break from the human footprint during this time.

Whether you’re skeptical or not about the possible impact of a well-timed prayer, it can’t hurt to send positive, loving thoughts to Mother Nature.
