15. Timing

What a funny time I’ve chosen to get back into dating. Social distancing is a responsible precaution. However, it’s not the most conducive for making new connections, especially as someone who prefers getting to know people offline.

Rather than dwell on the possible isolation and inconvenience of social distancing, I’m refocusing on the opportunities that this global lesson in divine timing has presented.

What am I being invited to pay attention to?

What does this timing create the space for me to do, learn, or reimagine?

How can I be a better caretaker of myself and others?

In the context of my dating life, perhaps this means trying phone or FaceTime calls—which honestly sound more intimidating than meeting in person.

Maybe for you, this timing is an invitation to be with yourself. Or to start that project you’ve been putting off. Or to practice being still.

Amidst the unknowable, we can always find moments for growth and expansion.
